In 2021, a citywide surveillance and monitoring system was installed and integrated across Kirkuk to enhance public safety and security management. As part of this project, 360 CCTV cameras were strategically deployed throughout the city and connected via an underground fibre optic network extending over 65 kilometres, making Kirkuk a safer and more secure city.
In 2023, renewable energy systems were deployed at 96 locations within Kirkuk under a government initiative to promote clean energy and reduce dependency on the national grid. The project aims to generate approximately 4 megawatts of clean energy for the city by utilising solar systems installed across various governmental buildings.
In 2024, the solar infrastructure in Kirkuk was expanded to 76 additional sites, further enhancing the city’s renewable energy generation capacity and operational sustainability. This initiative aims to produce approximately 5 megawatts of clean energy through the installation of solar systems across governmental buildings.
In 2025, solar systems were installed at 30 educational institutions across Baghdad to promote sustainable energy use and improve energy efficiency within public facilities. A total of 3 megawatts of solar power was successfully implemented across these schools. Additionally, a 2-megawatt solar energy system was supplied for Alisha Company in London, extending the initiative’s impact beyond Iraq.
